Akvilė Misevičiūtė (Akvilė Magicdust)

Akvile Magicdust (Akvilė Misevičiūtė) studied at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts and continued her education at the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels, from which she obtained a master’s degree. The laconic narratives are conveyed in a painterly, primitivistic manner, often featuring urban landscapes inhabited by exotic fauna. She has held solo exhibitions in her native Lithuania and in Belgium, Spain, United States, and has participated in many group shows in various countries around the world.
Besides painting, she also creates comics “Lucy the confused girl” which were published on Vice magazine and later as a book “Tropical wildchilds”, which was also translated to french to. Her last graphic novel "Bitės" was published in 2021 by "Aukso žuvys".
