Geneviève Damas

Novelist, playwright, actor and director. After graduating with a degree in law, she trained as an actor before turning to theatre-making. Since 1999, she has organised “Portées-Portraits”, a literary and musical event to promote the work of contemporary writers. She has written fifteen plays, a collection of short stories and several novels. She won the “Prix du Théâtre - Meilleur Auteur 2004” (Theatre Prize - Best Author 2004) and the Coup de cœur des lycéens de Loire-Atlantique 2006 for her text Molly à vélo (“Molly on a Bicycle”, published by Lansman, 2006).
