One of the best contemporary crime writers in the world, a hugely successful bestselling author in Norway as well as foreign countries, Lithuania among them, who created Harry Hole, the cult figure of a series of crime novels. Jo Nesbø has received a number of literary awards, the Glass Key Award, Riverton Prize, Norwegian Book Club Prize, Norwegian Booksellers' Prize, the awards from the Danish Crime Academy and the Finnish Academy of Crime Writers, to name just a few. He can boast of having sold over 50 million copies of his books. His novel Hodejegerne (Headhunters) was adapted into the 2011 film of the same title which was nominated for multiple awards, including the Amanda Award for excellence in Norwegian film and a BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
